You can even see the price history of a product to see if you should buy it now or wait a little bit for it to come down.

ISNT there anybody else or any other sellers that are concerned about Listia when they keep raising the point to dollar value?!!? Less than a year ago… Sept 2015… $1.00 would get you 4650 points….. NOW $1.00 gets you 16800 points plus 3000 bonus!!!!!!
WTF !! This is great for people that buy credits.. but TERRIBLE for people that sell on here because NOW everything is going to have to be listed with a starting point value of 100K or more !!! Doesn’t anybody from Listia ever read these blogs or do they just don’t care as long as they get the cash !!?!?!?

Hi! I totally agree with the previous comment! I now have to list my items with extremely high GIN and nobody bids on my items. I used to sell at least 1,000,000 credits worth of items a week. Now I sell almost nothing a week. This is really not fair to the sellers because we end up losing money on previously listed items that were for less credits. I think that it is the responsibility of the Listia Team to lower the credits back to where it was at least at the beginning of this year and not let is rise so dramatically. The buyers and the sellers will appreciate this.
The credit ratio is being determined by the credit sellers. Instead of having a fixed amount for how much people can sell credits for, the let the seller decide how much they want to get for their credits. People are greedy and have gradually entered higher prices for their credits in order to have their credits sell before others. The sell credits feature could be great (I am a seller, though I wait for the ratio to drop to sell credits), if listia would just set fixed prices for the sales. Or at least a range of fixed prices. Many have messaged listia with their concerns about this situation, but I am not sure anyone is actually reading the messages because you never get a coherent response. Many sellers have left listia because of this. Everyone has had to raise their prices.

Don’t they realize that they are just killing their own site?

The way Listia keeps raising the $ to point value every day, it’s not going to matter that much about the New Shipping feature, because nobody will be using it because all of the sellers will have left Listia because they are killing the sites for sellers.
FYI last Sept, the $ to point amount was 4950… look at it a year later !!!

And for those that think it’s the buyers and sellers creating this inflation and Listia doesn’t have any control over the inflation, think about it again.
Listia has the option to raise and lower the point value and make it whatever they really want it to. Since it’s just points, what do they care how many credits they give out as long as they get the Cash coming in. When is the last time you could take your credits and bring it to a 7-11 and get something…. NEVER… on the other hand.. Listia gets Cash from the ADS and Cash from the people that Buy their credits.
Sounds like a Win Win Deal for Listia and a Lose Lose deal for Listia Buyers and Sellers.

It is very disappointing to all the sellers when the credits keep rising. I have a couple of million credits waiting to be sold for 17,000 credits and it is not moving. a week earlier than when I posted the credit sale, the rate was 14,000-15,000 and I missed it by a day. Now it is sitting and just rising up and up. I hope Listia will change this situation. One of my buyers informed me yesterday the she is getting off Listia because of the credits that keep rising.
I like to do my CRASH sales and give buyers better deals. However, it is very hard to do that with the rising rates.
PLEASE Listia Team! Please, for the good of all of us, lower the credits so we can all continue enjoying and profiting from your site.
