(suzhappy724) I joined Listia way back in 2010. I must say right now that “I am addicted to Listia!” My house is a littler dustier and we use mostly paper plates. I have learned to juggle my phone in one hand while ordering a pizza and my iPad in the other while trying to win an auction. I no longer have 2 full rooms devoted to Listia (future auction items, shipping supplies, etc.) but I have spread out to the attic and half the basement. Who needed that chest freezer and foosball table anyway?! My boxes and totes full of makeup and body lotions are far more important… aren’t they? You better believe it! And if it can’t be won on Listia then you can expect to get no birthday/Christmas gifts from me!! The people you meet here are the absolute BEST too because you just know that they have their own boxes and tubs and totes full of treasures and their BFF is the same as yours ~ The Mailman/lady of course!!

(meggross9) When I first stumbled onto Listia, I expected to sign up, browse the site and forget about it. When an offer sounds too good to be true (and Listia sounded AMAZING) it usually is, right? Well, Listia turned out to be all that it claimed to be AND BETTER! I do all my birthday and Christmas shopping FOR FREE! I’ve met a number of people who have become true friends and connected with a bunch of folks to swap fun and silly, but also essential and even life saving medical supplies with. Where else can you get a brand new Xbox 360, a phone, a tablet and diabetic test strips for not a single cent? And, yes, these are all things that I’ve won! And the best part is, you don’t have to make anything like a job or a business. I work 40 hrs a week and still have time to just check in, post a new auction, bid or comment just for fun. I have now been a member for two years and still can’t believe that a silly, absent-minded girl like me is making friends and saving money with 100% positive feedback. And I have to give all the credit to the Listia moderators for that! 9 out of 10 of the people I connect with are honest and kind, and with the watchful eye of our moderators, I never have to worry about being taken. Thank you, Listia for putting gifts under my tree and happiness in my heart.

(billshelton) I’ve been a member since Oct. 2012 and I’m hooked! On a past Christmas, a buyer won a Superman comic card from me. After receiving the card she told me that Superman was her brother’s favorite super hero. She told me that he had passed away the Christmas before and it had put a painful stain on Christmas. Seems he had 3 grown daughters also. Their story really touched my heart. I collect comic books and I have over 6,000 of them (I sometimes buy more than one copy of a comic which I think will be important for some reason). I had a comic book where Superman gets beat to death, a comic book where the public puts up a statue and mourns his passing, and a comic book where he comes back. It just so happened that I had 3 copies of each of them. So I packed them in separate “do not open ’till xmas” boxes and sent them out. I also sent a set of kitchen towels and potholders to the sister so I didn’t leave anyone out. I don’t remember what I said in the letter I sent with them but it was something about him still watching over them and even Superman can die. They sent me a letter (snail mail) about how there was not a dry eye in the house when my letter was read. They said they didn’t know that a total stranger would feel this way and be so kind. I didn’t tell them but of the 3 copies of each comic book, 2 were extras and the third came from my personal collection, so I don’t have them anymore. With their letter and card they sent me a photo of them holding the comic books. This was so touching to me that on a special spot on my living room wall is the photo and letter and envelope (it has Superman on it) set in a frame. We have emailed/talked many times since. Now all the comic books I sent were worth several thousand credits (or a lot of cash) but that never crossed my mind. As it turned out, I got 200 credits for the comic book card and 4 really cool friends for free. What else could a guy want? This is just one example of many. I’ve made many friends on Listia from all over the U.S. and the world that I wouldn’t meet any other way. I want to thank Listia for helping me to be in contact with so many different people. I’ll be a member for life!!

(zarifasabah) I joined Listia over a year ago and I love it! I  am married and have 2 boys (ages 2 and 4). My children love it when the mailman arrives and get super excited.  We lost our home and we’re staying with family, which was very hard. I heard about Listia On Facebook, and I couldn’t believe it.  So I tried it, and have been addicted to since.  We have come a long way since I first joined Listia.  I enjoy helping people, as I know how it can be.  I love the friends I’ve made and the people I can help. Without Listia I would be lost.  It’s a part of me, and my family as well.  Paying it forward and also getting a chance to buy, sell, and trade items is just wonderful. Thank you Listia for everything you have done for my family, and myself.

(NawnCaptain) I signed up but did nothing for six months when one fine day, I was bored & hankering for something to do. Google led me back to Listia, I remembered I had already signed up so I thought, “hmmm, let’s just see what this is about.” Listia is very user-friendly when it comes to listing items. This affords anyone the ability to list what they don’t want & earn credits towards what they do. I have been able to use my credits for a myriad of items that I would otherwise not be able to afford.  Being creative when listing is fun to me … just one look through the Health & Beauty category (where I mainly list), will show that I am not alone & lots of us love using our imaginations to create wonderful auctions. I could easily site many more examples of why I love it here, but by far, the number one reason is the community of awesome people. Friendships form organically, they just happen, and I could not be more thankful. I work from home & this can make for a lonely existence, but those days are long gone. My friends have seen me through a very stressful couple of years & they are they are priceless to me. I never could have imagined being bored one July day would result in me gaining so, so much. I will forever be grateful for Listia for this opportunity!

She is mostly blind, and I found everything for her here … rings, clothes, Walking Dead items … I feel I can spoil her so easily here on Listia. I even got fabric and made living room curtains to match mom’s chair blanket. It’s been the best experience I’ve had online. And I’ve made so many friends, too. (forrestfireb1) I started Listia in August 2014. I am disabled (bad back) and have depression (because I can’t get out like I once did). My computer is my way of connecting to the outside world. When I found out about Listia, I was a tad scared at first about what to expect. As time went on, I have found many things to auction off. I really love the friendship and camaraderie of this site. I have met many friends here, and even some in my hometown! Since becoming a member of Listia, I have gotten so much better with my Bi-polar and back pain, that it doesn’t bother me as much anymore, Listia, to me, is a virtual doctor. (Just ask my new hubby lol) Plus, I have a huge family who always ask me to find things from clothes, Dr. Seuss books, Lego Friends and even Frozen toys for my nieces and their children that are unattainable otherwise.  This site has been a godsend since Day 1. With free tracking now (as of June1st), it should make it easier for many on a limited income too.  The Reward Store has allowed me to get holiday gifts now and save them for later as well as NOW gifts to myself!

I love browsing through all the auctions, seeing and finding items I cannot find where I live. When the holidays are coming up or I have someone’s birthday, I now go to Listia first. I know I can always find that perfect gift. I often find myself when out shopping looking for new and interesting items to post on Listia. I love the idea of being able to give away items that will help others on here.  For me, Listia started out as a hobby but has become so much more for me as time went by. I’m always thinking about how to list my items to make them more fun for everyone. I love this site and have meet wonderful new friends I would not have gotten to know without it.

I was doing a lot of surveys to earn credits to buy crafts and clothes for the kids. Then one day, I thought, why not list stuff for credits instead of doing all these offers. I was hooked to selling on Listia in no time! Last year, I had to quit my job  but Listia has really been my outlet and kept me busy from getting depressed. I was skeptical at first but when I won my first auction and the seller contacted me right away, I was so intrigued. A few days went by and I actually received my item in the mail and it was from that point on that I’ve been addicted to Listia. As a single mother it has been a life saver when I needed it the very most! My children’s entire Easter (besides the little bit of candy of course) was from Listia! My heart was so full and happy as I put their Easter baskets together Saturday night before heading to bed. I just stood there and stared at them for a moment because I just couldn’t believe it. I’ve also recently moved into my first home where I can actually plant flowers and plants like I’ve always dreamt about.  Through Listia, I have not only won 15 or more types of flowers my children and I can plant here very soon but I’ve also adopted my 6 new house plants that I absolutely love : ) I’ve been blessed to meet many of amazing new friends that I’d never have the chance to meet if it weren’t for my Listia. Keep it up!

(kweandee) One of my best friends referred me to Listia back in February of last year. She said it was a great way to get rid of old stuff and get new stuff in it’s place. We have been absolutely addicted ever since! I’m one of those people who hate throwing good stuff away or sticking it in a drawer to collect dust when someone else out there who could enjoy them, yet there’s only so many items places take in terms of donations (mostly just clothes). Listia was the perfect place to put them. I love seeing the things I have find a new home with people who will appreciate them as much as I did and aside from finding an array of new items to enjoy myself, I’ve been able to find a variety of items to give as gifts to my family and friends as well. The people I’ve met on here are also some of the friendliest people I’ve ever known. I honestly can’t say I’ve never had a better online experience then I’ve had on this site and just wanted to say thank you to whoever created it. 🙂

I have made efforts to get people to join as much as I can and list as much as possible also. I was hooked. I am a part time self-employed divorced mother who has been through hard times and good times. I am also a true artist who loves art. I’ve had some physical problems lately and been very homebound but today was a good day for me. I was able to go get the mail myself today and WOW what a surprise I got!! I have rebuilt my RPG collection from this site and I love vintage video games and this site always has what I want! Some people may be weary when it comes to Listia but I think it’s one of the greatest inventions ever (way better than eBay). You can get everything that you need on this site and more! I make sure I check it every day to see if auctions have come up that I would be interested in. It’s always fun listing an auction on the site, too. (jennifergeorge1610) I joined Listia early last year when my friend introduced me to it because I was having a rough time financially. I had been trying for about a year, maybe more, to sell my belongings that I no longer needed in order to make a little extra money to pay for my daughter’s medical expenses. She had a stroke in utero, which led to severe brain damage, which in turn led to her having severe Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, and a number of other health issues. Having a special needs child is always challenging, but having a special needs child while also being severely disabled myself is extremely challenging. I, myself, also have Cerebral Palsy. I walk with forearm crutches, I wear leg braces, and I cannot drive. Having Listia in my life this past year has been amazing! Listia has allowed me to get items for my daughter that I couldn’t otherwise afford. I have met some really kind and helpful people who gave me some great tips along the way! The Listia community is Incredible to say the least. Listia has helped me in more ways than I can even tell you! I am addicted to Listia and I won’t be going anywhere anytime soon! (StephMiller) I joined Listia back in August 2013, & I’m working on year #3! I happen to be on my email trying to get Free Items, One of the freebie sites sent me here to Listia,(My Second Family)! I’m a single parent of three; one of my children is disabled, and like many of us, I’m also on a VERY fixed income. Having to be a stay-at-home caregiver, and having back issues myself has prevented me from working. Listia has been a godsend! I thought “Ok, I’ll sign up and give it a try, what could it hurt?” Then I find out Listia has a DONATION center, & how EASY it was to get started & how welcoming everyone made me feel! I was hooked! Now my cell phone has become my third hand! I LOVE my Listia family!! This site is a lifesaver! From trying to get holiday gifts for 3 children, to birthday gifts, and of course something for Momma! From the people I’ve met since I’ve been a member, EVERYONE, makes you feel like they’re your best friends and family! Listia has become my second home!

I have always believed that things happen for a reason and you encounter certain people on purpose. While I have been a generous soul, it seems that more gifting opportunities have come my way since joining Listia.

(dewdrop58) I am a relative newbie when it comes to Listia. I joined on December 7, 2014 and am quickly becoming an addict! Recently I have listed my first as well as my fifteenth auction. It is thrilling to watch the credits climb higher and higher, not only with each of my individual auctions but to my overall total. I waited and watched the auctions of others before I listed my own for the first time to get a feel for what worked and what didn’t. My goal is to try and supply enough photographs and written information so that no inquiries are ever needed. I will always welcome someone stopping by to say hello though. I am quickly developing a new network of friends, something I hadn’t even thought of when I joined. I hope that my future auctions will be entertaining and offer members true value for the credits that they bid. I would like to be known as fair, trustworthy and in a sense represent the best that Listia has to offer.
