We really needed a break from customer support this afternoon so we decided to add something fun. I’m not sure why we didn’t have this before, but you can now become a fan of other users on the site! Right now it’s not used for much except bragging rights (you know a leaderboard is coming for sure!), but later on we can show you more information about the users you’re fans of. For instance auctions they have listed, recent activity, etc.

This is what I’ve been wanting since I found the site. I want to know everything my favorite sellers are putting up for auction, and this would be an easy way for you to incorporate that into the site.

Is there a way to make a separate fans category? I like how you can list by: ending soonest, popularity etc. but if you could do this amongst your fans that would be awesome! A great way to credit those who like your stuff!

As a seller it would be nice to have fans be able to subscribe to updates from me so I could essentially send out a fan email newsletter with photos, pictures and specific auction prizes.
Or even better..
Let sellers use a template of what they want to send out in this newsletter (something they can update up to once a day) like a mail chimp easy style template. Can include photos, banners, text etc. anyway then compile these into one fan email so people don’t get a ton of them. Whoever they specifically subscribe to emails from and fan they will receive these updates once a day or week from … Plus it’s free content for Listia to get users back to the site.
Ps. Hate the new model of having to spend credits for GIN.
